Default Fungi Tunic

I never played EQ back when Kunark first came out so some of the things people get so excited about I don't really understand why.

One main thing I keep seeing everyone shooting their loads about is the fungi tunic from Kunark, saying how awesome it is and that it is a "gamebreaker" for some classes.

Just wanted someone to tell me why this item is so awesome actually?

15 point regen per tick on top of whatever you got for race and buffs.

With 15hp/tick Fungi Tunic + 15 hp/tick Regrowth of the Grove + innate health regen you are regenerating more than 300hps a minute. Even more for trolls and iksar.

This in turn allowed melees to solo much easier, provided groups/raids with less downtime, fewer heals needed to top off non-tanks that took damage, pop it on after a rez and go about your business, and during extended raid encounters/ae damage.

I kept one on my druid while soloing/quad-kiting, if I got hit from a resisted snare or whatever just pop it on mid-kite and get free hps.

Why rolling a melee if you want to solo?

hardly a "game breaker"...but it does make a super twink item, and help melee solo. its also a fairly good item to where as a main (especially for monk), but hardly game breaker.

because when your choices are sit lfg getting no exp, or sit lfg and kill a blue mob every 5 min...the second is far better.

It's better than having permanent chloroplast while wearing a Rubicite BP.
