Very good for pulling since the Eye of Zomm will aggro NPCs and you can move it around. So, it's like a re-usable ranged item that can also go around walls and shit.

Also pretty good for necros to be able to summon something to lifetap.

They were never that rare to begin with. They were very similar to Circlet of Shadow on live where you have a fairly common item where the people who understood the power of the item just farmed their own item. Them being lore and still easily obtainable is the reason that they weren't expensive until a long time after being removed from the game.

Yup. Besides necros using them for free lifetap targets on raids, they're a powerful pulling tool for monks.

Single inventory slot instead of having to carry 5+ stalking probes (and recharging them).

Gets removed from drop tables 6+ months down the line.

These things will be the most obscenely overcamped item for the next 6 months and they're not incredibly rare drops to begin with.

10 drop within 1 hour? Mine took about 3 hours, and I just got on to check the line, and it's moved less than 6 people, so this is not true.

With that said, I'll be holding on to mine for a couple years. =)
