the #1 thing is have patience. Starting p1999 without having played classic? Yikes. You are going to be in for a rude awakening with how clunky the game is compared to modern titles.
BUT! It is some of the most fun you can have if you can make yourself get into it. Level 1-10 can be a brutal grind and not much fun - it gets easier/better after and the classes really grow in power as you level. Just don't give up after 1 or 2 play sessions | ||

Well, the first 2 levels are nice anyway [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
Then you pay for it with the next 10 levels or so [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] But not as rough as some of the other classes, especially in the teens - e.g high elf cleric in overweight plate lol? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] But one of the good things about the game is pretty much every class has some unique debilitating problem you must figure a way to get past... or group [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Well... unless you are a halfling druid of course.
