I'm suprised that SOE doesn't transfer the eqmac characters to a live server.

Good question. Let me answer it this way:

I hold no "loyalty" to SOE at all, and am sad as well as a bit pissed off at the handling of our "situation". However, I do consider myself an honorable person. I made a promise, which I intend to keep. As far as I know, SOE has not revoked our right to use their copyrighted material, and our developer continues to communicate with us there.

In kind, I will maintain the same community we have had for as long as I can.
This man deserves a medal. I think it's great you ran it for all these years and it's a damn shame that they are going to shut it down. If you guys want, please post on the EQMac forums in support of not shutting it down. I wholeheartedly believe Hobart could pull through and reverse the shutdown decision.

But, please, do NOT post about EQEmulator and/or Project 1999 on their forums. That's a jerk move, imo, and if I see people on eqemulator.org posting on the eqmac forums advertising, I will give you a warning on our forums not to do it.

And so, P99 is truly the last bastion of classic EQ. May God protect it and all that run it.

It's a shame he doesn't want to preserve the database. I don't care about the source code, just the database and quest source files. If we had those, P1999 would be near-perfect. Then again, I don't know much about the SOE serverside elements, so, yeah.

Secrets, if you were able to get that, could you datamine quests that were never completed/solved?

If so that database is valuable as fuck, eh?

I would specifically ask for them to remain hidden/removed, as they detract from classic. They're in the current EQLive database and having that leak out would be something I don't want anyone SOE or otherwise to suffer.

While I understand some of the mystery still remains... Don't you want to know what some things were for?

I mostly want to know if there was some crazy involved quest with Kurocust (spelled that wrong - dude from chardok) and all the notes the traitors etc have. Seems like there were some very involved quests that never saw the light of day.

Also what if they reward fats like we've never seen before. BE OUR PROPHET SECRETS. Also, oblige Estrang if you would he is getting a bit antsy.
