I'm still curious why he was banned in the first place? Was the GM dealing with the raid being over-zealous and noticed that the MQ indicator in the database (or log?) was tripped and assumed him to be running it at the time, or was he banned due to simply having a flagged account and being caught in some sort of trouble?

As I understand it, accounts get flagged for cheats, however the list of flagged accounts aren't processed into bans necessarily. There are a lot of red people complaining about this point lately. I guess when the staff has to do something with an account on an official level they can see if it was flagged or not (and ban accordingly), however they don't seem to just go around looking for people flagged. I don't see why they don't just nail these people (it's easy), but I have faith in Papas nilbog and Rogean and I trust they will deal with the unsavory sorts eventually.
