Honestly, I've been 50 since late November. I also have a 50 paladin. I haven't been in a guild since February. I'm still having a blast. There's tons of things to do. This game is what you make of it, really.

Your first step towards enjoying the server more is to stop entering R&F or coming to the forums period. My first impression from the server was pretty poor when I took the time to read all the negative posts that are made here on a daily basis.
Then I closed Firefox, got in the game, and found that I actually enjoyed myself despite the constant bickering that is being done here. Sure, there's constant arguments about raiding at level 50. Guess what? You have 49 levels to enjoy before you even get to that point. And if it doesn't work out to your liking, then re-roll, tradeskill, quest, help noobs, wait til kunark, or just quit. It seems like you are reading into this a bit too much imho, just play and enjoy yourself.

It disheartens me to see some of my in-game friends get so disgruntled that they just up and quit. Some get frustrated with the way people act (very understandable, see earlier posts in this thread for reference). Some question what the point of the XP grind is. Some are truly, clinically obsessed with getting XP at the fastest rate possible and they have no interest in reaping any social rewards from the game whatsoever. Me? I don't care what gear I have. I care even less what gear you have. I don't care whether there's a hybrid in my group slowing the XP rate. I don't care if the group wipes — as long as the group was having fun and/or taking some risks in the process. If I'm stuck in a group that can't be bothered to communicate beyond INC messages and heal macros, forget it, I'll be on my way. I've had a blast at just about every level so far because this is my priority set. I'm not waiting until level 50 to decide it's time to have fun. Give me a group of level 2 toons with personalities over stuck-up uber-geared snots any day of the week.

But seriously. As more people level and more guilds form or gain people - more spawns will be camped. *rolls an old wooden cup, spilling bones on the dusty floor* But the BONES speak to me... I see in the near future a new wondrous land may be discovered. Perhaps then, many of the spawns will be quickly vacated. I doubt you'll have issues finding groups. Even for those who are hell bent on raiding, they need to level still.

Back in classic, Paladin named Loevon gave me the best piece of advice I had had in eq, and that was "don't go to the forums".
SCB, just enjoy the game and ignore the bs. I too figured after 12 years the population would have grown up, but it seems WoW has transferred.... or the same kiddy bs. That being said, sometimes just because they are ranting or flaming doesn't mean it isn't something worth being looked at, or they don't have a legitimate beef. Not everyone is a dick, and most of the ones whom you seem to refer to won't be involved in your gameplay anyway. I know I sure hope when I get myself to 50 and into the raid scene any wankers will have moved on, at least to a different zone. I love the how play nice became play nice. errr forget that just be wankers and act like you are playing wow as a 12 yr old.
