Oh come on! How has no one said LOST yet???? I thought this was dam good till the end and I'm like wow what a waste of watching and not answering shit for questions.
I really enjoyed the Lost ending, I thought it was very good and true to what the series was about - characters. I also liked The Sopranos ending and people give David Chase a lot of guff for the way that ended. Viewers often make claims about wanting answers and not enough being tied up or explained as major detractions for endings(film and television). While I agree somewhat that sometimes it is either a lack of creativity or laziness on the writers behalf if they leave things unanswered, people need to also appreciate the mystery and use their own imagination to take enjoyment from unresolved story lines.

JJ Abrams had an amazing article in regards to this a few years ago making a metaphor to a box. Anything could be in that box, and the great thing about it is we can use our imaginations to fill in the blanks to leave us with personal answers that, for me at least, provide a great satisfaction through mystery. Or a writer could say "there is a frog in the box", that's it case closed mystery over, no limitless possibilities with the imagination. Viewers want entertainment to bend to their whims and provide answers, when really, would you be happier with a concrete answer or an open possibility/mystery. Lost has become a huge catalyst for this argument and I for one am a major proponent of less answers more mystery, I love using my imagination.

As an aside - How many of you had your enjoyment of the Star Wars universe increased after the mysterious/mystical Force was explained as a midichlorian count. Sorry I'm so long-winded.
