Had a convo with a girl from Wisconsin/Ohio about this. She couldn't tell the difference between Boston/Jersey/NY accent.

A lot of Boston Italians have Bensonhurst accents despite not growing up/being from there. Its an Italian thing. Theres Boston Irish that copy Italian-American accents too we call them mick guidos.
