I've been following this. I never got to 60 on Nost. I think I'll be rerolling on the PvP fresh server when it drops.

I guess that means blizzard meeting with nost crew to do vanilla was a bust and just a way to pacify fans after all.

So what's going to happen when Blizz tells the new server to stop? How will this one be any different? I'd be interested in playing but don't want to get my shit wiped in 2-3 months when blizz throws the ban hammer down.

Their official statement is that they will politely decline any c and d orders. I don't know if they can just ignore blizzard. However, there are a lot of wow servers out there, that have been operating for years. What would have happened if Nostalrius would have ignored blizzard? I have a character on Nost pvp, so I am going to go back.

They would go to jail... someone said if stationed in Russia they couldn't do shit. I'd actually be curious to know the outcome

Vanilla is fun and all, but Blizzard is going to be on the warpath about this. Don't feel safe investing much time into another Nost

They are hosted in Russia now. Blizzard has about as much a chance of shutting them down as the US government has of getting their hands on Edward Snowden.

I've never played WoW. Is it worth trying?
• I love the vastness and wonder of Norrath...is there a lot to explore on Azeroth?
• Do the various classes have a high skill ceiling or is it just a mindless grind-fest?
• Are classes customizable or is it more like a wizard is a wizard, a warrior is a warrior, a paladin is garbage, etc?
