Secrets is a dev on eqemulator, he admitted o banning accounts on P99 using his login server access and searched for emails using p99 character names. So not too sure about that.

Character names on P99 aren't searchable via EQEmulator. They are completely independant and isolated databases.

Regardless, I have removed Secrets' EQEmulator permissions pending a more thorough decision by the other admins over there.

Well if this guy is not around anymore I will think about playing here still, let me ask you this? How safe am I from future childish acts like this. I really want my kids to play here with me so we can bond in something they enjoy. Thank you.

How else did he ban the character "lethdar." He was not made on an account named lethdar, nor did the email associated on the account have the name lethdar in it. The account was traded a month ago and yet he still banned it when it was owned by someone who as far as i know has never even entered IRC.

He admitted to doing this via the eqemu forums, that account was made specifically for red99 and never posted anywhere there.

Is there any way for him to have gotten this information aside from searching p99 character names on eqemulator? The only other option i see is having powers directly on P99, which you said he doesn't have.

The only information you provide to play here is an email address and an IP Address.

The only people with access to your IP Addresses in the game are senior staff (myself, nilbog, amelinda). Those by themselves are not particularly helpful information in doing anything harmful whatsoever to you or your family.

The person whose information he posted was not mine, yet he remained adamant about it having to be me, him being unaware I didn't own lethdar but being able to tie that character in with the email/facebook seems the only way that makes sense.

Because you unbanned it, Selena was banned at the same time this was banned (he tried logging into it to confirm it) which was also confirmed by Amelinda saying that she didn't have the power to unban since it was an eqemu ban.

So... did you unban Lethdar and Selena? Or did you just post lethdar's current unbanned account status as a damage control measure while avoiding directly answering the question I had asked.
