HELP!
Ok, my issue is this: http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=139506
No one has answered me in over a week so I'm trying to play without having the need to reformat the mac and I decided to bring my issue here. Upon running a FRESH installation in test run mode (after taking the necessary steps to fix the login issue), the log provided me this information: fixme:advapi:SetSecurityInfo stub fixme:d3d:init_driver_info Unable to find a driver/device info for vendor_id=0x10de device_id=0xfd5 for driver_model=2 fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32ebf0,0x00000000), stub! Did you follow Innova's instructions? They work awesome.

For anyone who may be willing to assist me, has had this problem, or has enough experience with debugging wineskin issues, here's what's going on: I've been playing P1999 quite often lately without issue. Indeed, the very day before the issue arose there were no problems of note. A day passed since I had played P99 last with no significant alterations to my computer, simply working throughout the day on my laptop per normal. I decided to log in for an evening in the Ocean of Tears killing Seafuries; yet, this time was different... I ran the same P99 wineskin I had for a year (that is, a year without any such issues from it) and became stuck when trying to connect (i.e., (1) the server list screen connect button froze me, (2) the quick connect button from the same server list screen when attempting to connect froze me; and, (3) the quick connect from the username and password screen before you get to that server screen also froze me upon the same action). So then I thought, maybe Project 1999's server is just down. I had reviewed a post regarding networking issues happening the day before for other people on the Technical Discussion forums. I assumed this may have been my issue but it was not. These people later were able to connect. Moreover, I later attempted to connect to other servers than the Project 1999 servers and was met with the same problem. This is when I realized the issue was particularly mine. In addition to the above, I then followed Innova's steps and the later-released version of Wineskin actually would crash when attempting to connect to the server. Something is up, yes? Please see two posts above this one to review my debug information that I received when attempting to use Innova's version of the install. My laptop's system specs are: 10.9.1 Mavericks Mac, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB MacbookPro, Mid 2012 Macbook Pro. I am unsure how this problem "sprung up", but I have tried the following steps, started over, and tried them about ten different times each: 1) Refreshing Wrappers; 2) Updating Engines to the newest kind; 3) Going back to old Engines that previously worked; 4) Fresh installs repeating the steps listed by Innova, in addition to fresh installs using the steps that led me to prior successful installs (i.e., earlier guides in this forum); 5) Trying to force my Mac's XQuartz instead of the built in X11; and, 6) Trying different versions of Windows via Wine Tricks. All steps seem to yield no fruit. Again, in sum, my problem is: I now suddenly freeze when attempting to connect beyond the login screen, in whatever fashion I choose to try. Can anyone help me resolve this? I would be very grateful and happy to donate to you some loot in the game if so.

So I'm going to briefly follow up with some steps I've taken this morning to help isolate issues, so that maybe someone has a better idea of how to assist me. Please take a few moments to review the above post before commenting on this one.
1) I am running Wineskin Engine WS9Wine1.7.12, Wrapper Version 2.5.12. 2) Still freezing only when attempting to "connect" to Project 1999. Error 1 - "fixme:d3d:buffer_internal_preload Too many declaration changes or converting dynamic buffer, stopping converting" I previously thought this was my big issue but it appears not to be. It only showed up after I ran the winetrick "glsl=disabled" under settings. Hence, it was easy enough to rid myself of this issue by simply not following such a step. But, see Error 2, re: when this will come back up regardless of glsl activity. Error 2 - Imagine, if you will, a ton of the following, beginning at the debug script that reads "Unhandled usage flags 0x8", because there's a lot of it Quote:
Error 3 - Perhaps the crux of my problem? Quote:
Reward Offered 2,000 platinum to whoever can help me fix this and get me back in. I will run, teleport, or boat across continents to deliver it to you.

Sorry for the multiple threads. Due to how frustrating this was, I wanted to share my solution for anyone who was experiencing the same issue as I was (i.e., what I listed under "Error 3" in the post immediately above).
Apparently a new update of the Razer Synapse program (for those of you who use Razer devices to game) was causing a conflict with Wineskin. Uninstalling the synapse will cause the program to work properly once again.

Possible Fix
Hi, I was having a similar problem to Vexed (launched app, but didn't launch EQ) and did some troubleshooting. I got it to work, but I'm not sure if my problem was caused by the same thing as yours. Anyways, I found out that the problem might be caused by the Engine being used not working after an OSX update. Here's what I did:
Overall, I followed the instructions here. A few points to fill in. In step 2, after you get Wineskin Winery open, you need to choose a new engine to put in the new wrapper. 1. Click on the '+' at the bottom of the Engines list (which will probably be empty at first, mine was).Once everything gets updated, feel free to change the icon to the P99 one (or any other, I used the icon from my old EQMac install), double click and get it going! Some other engines might work better, I haven't tried anything else, but this one launches. Will report back with playability concerns if I run into any.

Just want to say Thank you for this. Running P99 on my mac through this wine is so so so so much smoother and easier on my machine than the bootcamp/xp. THANK YOU!!!!! So easy to do too! Just transferred my eq files over from windows, followed the directions and boom was on in 15 mins.
Update: Okay i may have gotten ahead of myself. My game is running very smooth but slow motion like! Not laggy, just my Toon and NPC's are S...L..O..W....!! I tried the suggested Winetricks posted earlier in the threat and they didn't do the trick. Anyone? Update: Thought i fixed this by changing my FPS to 100 in my eqclient.ini and changing my battery power life to "better performance" in my System preferences, but it only fixed it temporarily. Still moving at a slow speed most of the time, too hard to play this way. Any ideas, anyone?

Did anyone ever figure out a solution to the mouselook issue where it stops after turning after a certain amount of looking to the side (requiring re-grabbing the screen). If you experienced this issue, you'll know what I am talking about. I typically use Parallels 9 but figured it would be nice to play via Wineskin. The mouse issue is a show stopper though..
