Can not find log in server

when i try to log in to the login server i get the following error

Error 1010: No host was found!
Check that the file EQHOST.TXT exists in
the EverQuest directory.

The file does exist, i figured that the problem was i did not have the correct information typed in the file but i have copied and pasted it from the setup guide. Anyone have any ideas? or perhaps anyone willing to copy/paste what they have in their working EQHOST.TXT file.

listed below is what i currently have it as

Host=eqemulator.net:5998

unfortunately changing this did not give me any better results, any other ideas?

You are using Titanium or SoF client right? Theres another client that can be used with eqemu but does not work at all on this server and also requires a different ip in the eqhost. Makes sure there is a space between the : 5998 other than that.... maybe ur firewall is stupid turn it off and try.

To be perfectly honest I don't know what client I am using. I had my game up to date back in 2007. The files are still on my computer because I have come to terms i will never be done with everquest, hence i am here now trying to log into the game. When i recieved the error code 1010 Can not find EQHOST.TXT - i did not think that it would be because my files might not be the right client, i was fishing around for some other ideas. I am going to buy SoF for 8 bucks off some website, or something and ill be in. In the mean time if anyone has any ideas on how i can tell my game that yes that file is in fact there. Let me know. Thanks for the help
