Ignoring the culture shock of OOC Imagine being a new char and trying to trade, find groups, ports, or anything without OOC. Which is more important, Temporary assumption that their aren't weirdo trolls on red99, or the ability to get groups, trade, and have some community interaction.

People against ooc are a joke. It makes no sense at all. If you don't want to be a part of it you can turn it off. The reason the people don't turn it off is because they would feel like they are missing out on something. Well if you take it out completely we are all missing out on something.

Trading is a lot easier with the ooc, and there is entertainment to be had there too.

If you can't handle the ooc, you probably can't handle being PK'd and shouldn't be playing.

You can't expect anyone to believe that OOC "turns new players off the server" without any proof, just because you said so on a forum post.

Unless you expect us to forget how the server was a barren deadzone for years long before OOC was ever put in?

Man if people were discussing lethal weapon and its inferior brother die hard all the time ooc would become a well known place of discussion cited in highschool English papers and stuff.

I don't want global ooc to be removed but for god's sake can you 12 assholes that spam it up with constant arguments about who is tougher in real life try getting a real life?

It's not everyone, it's the same people everyday. You can bitch at each other in tells quite easily but no, you have to do it publicly so you can boost your egos or try to get other people on your side. It's fucking sad.

Trying to deny that is a joke, but I'm sure someone will. If you were really the pvpers and the badasses you believe yourself to be you wouldn't say a damn thing or you would do it in tells. Instead you act like little kids trying to gain the approval of the other little kids by making your personal arguments public.

I like global ooc, without it I would not be able to help nearly as many people or see items selling that I might want, but the small percentage of the server that is only concerned with proving they have the biggest digital dick get old. You never say anything new, it's always the same tired shit over and over. Grow up.

Arguing in OOC in 100% about ego and vanity. If you don't have a self-esteem or self-image problem, you are more than likely using tells.

2nd'd. I've played every decent PVP mmo I can get my hands on but this server has some of the lamest flame wars I've ever seen. Wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't already been on repeat since the first day I got back. It's only been two weeks and they're tired as shit already.

most everyone here has a pretty good point on all ends.

we do need more than just zonewide OOC.

i do think having a more limited OOC would change how some things are done in our community instead of just having a blanket OOC/AUC to every zone in game.

maybe have a kunark / antonica / faydwer, odus specific OOC?

or newbie zone across game / high lvl dungeon / all other zone

or /auc only works in cities and goes to all cities (would be sick if you could prevent item linking to only /auc)

or OOC is only zonewide or continent specific and just have Global Chat Channel 1 for whoever wants to let their flame wars be public

just thought would be better to suggest different ideas instead of remove/keep and everyone spewing YES! NO! UR FKN RETRDED!

in the end dont think they are going to change it but i play on necro hours/euro times even though its a ghost town the only people talking are the usual asshats flaming each other. true story
