Yeah, but I know people in the industry. There is bad corruption and hospitals cut corners to make payrol and get federal payout. Many legitimate treatments get underutilized or swept under the rug because they don't make good money or are not practical when tied to insurance. Hence only privately payed for medicine is the best and the rich are still served very well while insurance just lowers the overall standard for everyone.

Insurance companies are a racket. There's no doubt about that. The problem is we are way to far left of the sweet spot back towards the right on the issue.

I would say about 70% of the population has not the experience or research needed to validate my above points and that is a big big big problem. And big news is not helping either.

Feel free to flame me for my opinion. But thats what it is. This latest government intervention is not a good option except to force everyone who isn't entitled to have substandard options and care.

It's not a mental illness. It's in the DSM, because there's no other place to put it. The need to change genders, and deprivation of that need can no doubt drive people crazy, but a person is absolutely not mentally ill simply by virtue of being transgender.

I do not have a problem with it because, as i have stated, as long as it does not affect me directly, it is no business of mine. My problem is with their desire and longing to be treated as if they are perfectly sane and mentally healthy.

If i want to medically remove my arms and legs because I think it will make me a happier person, people would cringe in horror and tell me to get into extensive psychotherapy yet when transgendered people do something equally as horrifying (if not more) they expect everyone to just act as if their decision to mutilate their bodies is totally rational and demand that people view them as completely sane and mentally healthy.

Maybe I am just specifically talking about male's who hack off their dicks or women who remove their breasts...that specific element of the transgendered community.

With all that being said, I would never deny friendship or love or respect to anyone in the transgendered community based on them being mentally ill.

It actually is an illness. Alot of trans people think that saying that is insulting, but im on the other side. Im a medical professional, and there's no shame in it, I got bad asthma and allergies too. GID (Gender Identity Disorder) is an illness listed in every branch of medicine, including pediatrics. There are just so few people who actually talk about it, and even fewer that actually transition (takes balls). The general public considers it very taboo, mostly because of lack of education.

Im not really one of those rainbow flag waving sillies. Im pretty private about it (except obv. online). I prefer to separate myself from 'the community'.. because I dont want to get hated on.
