You can train a paramecium to perform certain actions to certain stimuli. The "train-ability" of an animal is something separate from intelligence entirely regardless of what you believe.

Sure you can, cats will perform actions in response to certain stimuli as well, but neither with the level of depth and complexity that a dog will. When you can teach a paramecium or your cat to lead a blind person down the street and guard their well being on a daily basis you let me know.
