I mean, I started dual boxing, then 6 boxing, then 11, 12, 13.. got silly. It was nice to form my own groups, raids, but I didn't socialize. Granted it was commonplace to box, but why not play rpg, not a mmorpg then.
13? Holy shit!
Whats the most a person has boxed before? On live I knew someone who ran about 8 toons. Was are guild leader. We used to cash farm everything during Velious / Luclin, he'd ebay the money / items and level up accounts and sell them.

Was unemployed, he just played EQ. Sounded like the awesomest shit ever, but I was a freshman in high school lol

The hackers and script kiddies have done entirely more damage than anyone two boxing ever could have (unless they were a pre-puberty, 13 year old griefing, script kiddie too).

When you get the boxers who do 3, 4, 6, 12, 18 toons. Then the server goes down hill very quick.

I am one of the only dev's that is for allowing up to two boxing. But, with the rules being as they are, I support the decision of lifetime bans for all those caught boxing.

I think deleting all chars, on all accounts they used, even if they were using someone else characters, and removing the ip exemption, would be even better. The boxer should be taught a lesson, along with the person dumb enough to give out their passwords. Because it is not like it was some shocker, that the person was boxing, in the first place.

Sam Deathwalker on Sullon Zek. Can't remember how many toons he ended up boxing...but it was a bunch, lol. On a PvP server, to boot.

Agreed. I'll follow the rules that you guys set forth but being as I work a 7-7 job and when I do logon there is virtually no one around that wants to group, it certainly would be nice if I could two box.

I guess EQ wouldnt be the same game if you didnt want to wrist yourself after dying over and over because you cant seem to solo too well either eh?

I dont know about the profit and 3box etc aspect because I never partook in any of that but two boxing was definitely a ton of fun and a way to keep yourself busy back when you couldnt find a group in regular EQ.

You could box, and train in classic. Strangely you can't here, even though this is classic everquest. /shrug

Fixed.

Seriously, there is a dichotomy regarding what is considered classic and what isn't. And that definition is totally up to the devs. Boxing is prohibited, and that's that. Having said that, boxing is rampant here. They just haven't been caught yet. But they will, eventually. Then maybe I can finally leap out of here.......
