I'm still a certified pro in BG2: SoA legit dueling. Throne of Bhaal got some things a little out of whack and I don't think a legit dueling scene ever really existed.

Off the top of my head, I think it's a dual-classed Swash/fighter lvl 13/19 which was without a doubt the most powerful class combination. Cleric/fighters were worthless due to potions of absorption (-10ac vs crushing per hit). Kensai/mages are sick in bursts and have the largest damage output of any class combination while spells permit. Wizards and Barbarians are the only pure classes that can hold their own in a legit duel.

was just mindless hack and slash with better graphics, bg2 had such a sweet story to it.. jon irenicus so gdamn evil and boo so amazing

IWD 1 was really bad but the second one had much better battles. I enjoyed being able to switch between a sword and shield and a 2hander or bow in icewind a lot too
