R99 will have velious and prior to teams releasing, most, if not all, of the "broken" things will be fixed. In velious, every slot needs to be upgraded on every character, so previous "farming to death" will mean very little but an early advantage. The community on teams99 with be the exact same community from red99.

So ya, people might play on teams99 (if it ever comes out), but red is here now and will have much more to do for everyone from solo play to raiding.

Those upgrades are only obtainable if you're in Nihilum. If you're not in Nihilum, Velious doesn't really offer you anything at all other than getting corpse camped trying to farm Halls of Testing gear during off hours by a nilly SWAT crew. Incoming argument that Velious provides lots of new targets blah blah, Nihilum doesn't even have the numbers to kill the majority of targets in Velious, and you're going to tell us the other guilds will be able to? Lol? Velious is a raider first expansion, this ain't blue where people will be reliving the journey and experience of ToFS.

There is more content in velious that can be accomplished by group or small raids than big raids.

Faction armor will be obtainable by everyone, which gives quite a few good pieces. Not to mention dozens of great quest items, drops from dragons in ww/dn and a lot of gear from kunark which will no longer be farmed. 2h from tantor, exquisite velium, PoG armor, list goes on and on.

If you're comparing best in slot vulak items with everything else, yes theres a disparity, but thats end of end game.
