You have a good amount of time before you are able to raid. I would just try to get into as many groups as possible, friend the people you like, and group with them as much as possible. When you reach 46 and can actually raid figure out what you actually want to be doing, see what guilds your friends are in, figure out what each guilds capabilities, requirements, and goals are and see if any of them fit you. You could always just join a guild that is just inviting people, but you will probably leave as soon as you're of raiding level anyway. Good luck!!
