Default Spellbook and Medding

hey there i got a question because its been a long time. iirc there was something where you had to med with your spellbook open till level 30 or something like that. is that still around? or did it even exist lol like i said 10 years ago.

I get skillups just by sitting so I do not think that staring at the spellbook is valid here. I suspect that client side code dictated that feature so no way for the devs here to control that...

Nah, you don't need to use your spellbook. But you can if you want to be an OG again!

No med button - I think it's purely a client issue, but even if they added a check to see if your spell book was open, any UI mod could easily downsize it from fullscreen - either wag, I wouldn't think it's high enough on the list that you'd see it changed in the foreseeable future.
