Thumbs up Solo Shaman (mid 40's) Mana Efficiency?

Hey Folks,

Looking for some advice on the best rotation you are using to solo mid 40's. I've been leveling up to this point and hit or missing with the pet yanking 50% or more dmg.

Should I be focusing more on root rotting and keeping the 50% exp?

Issue is if I have pet tank the mobs need a slow... otherwise pet explodes.

I appreciate the feedback!

Root-dot, send the pet in until it's low HP, send it back out and let it heal up. Don't bother buffing or healing the pet.

Also, get your epic ASAP. Work the faction if you can't do the entire quest yet. The epic is invaluable for soloing. Once you have it, literally all you need to spend mana on is root and self-buffs (particularly until you hit mid-late 50s).

DoT mob, root. Keep pet up to send in when your DoT's have done 50% damage or to chase down when they run. Canni while waiting to reapply DoT's.

That's it really unless you are getting alot of resists in which case chuck on a Malaisement first.

This, though sometimes i will leave pet out until mobs health is around 70% before sending in.

Epic is a real game changer for solo.

You should be in CoM for epic faction. If you've not done the faction stuff up to warmly, go do that asap. Duo stables with enchanter, mage, necro, or any melee other than rogue. Or group temple, goo house, etc. Duo temple when you're high enough lvl.

Soloing isn't going to be significantly better exp, imo. In a duo, you can basically just root + slow + pet. In stables duos/trios, mana was such a non-issue that I'd often pull.

Like Dr K says, CoM is great for mid 40s, only probably is it is highly overcrowded during normal hours. I have all the toys, so I could solo stables very safely/constant, but easiest EXP is duo with charmed enc pet. I would pull mobs with slow, root adds, hasted pet burns it down while I tank and canni.

Take a peek at the Priest section and you will see nearly half the first page is about soloing as a Shaman. The reason? People hit a wall. "I wuz told Shaminz is best solo!! Wutdo??"

Shamans are proficient soloers but the process is long, boring and without 100k+ in gear painfully slow. Simply put, without an epic or 49 dots you will spend a huge amount of your time staring at the screen doing nothing but dancing and rooting.

Good news!! You may be wondering to yourself "every1 play Shaminz, how do i get groop eesy??" It's very simple, you are the most sought after duo partner and groupmate in the game. You can duo with well with every class but your own. Your versatility is unmatched.

Tl;dr: find a partner and duo. More fun, faster xp, better content, not soloing.

Best part? Takes on slightly more time to find one then soloing.
