There it is, I knew someone was going to say it.

Item links, not classic.
Playing on more than 56k modems, not classic.
Playing on slimline laptop/flat screen monitors, not classic.
EC trading forum, not classic.

Not a "classic" server, and I'm okay with that.

The point of the thread is the speed of the EC spam at times, it gets so quick because everyone is jumping over each other to be at the fresh end that it's very difficult to accurately click the items you want to look at (even with just auctions in its own window).

We discussed the idea of putting a limit on how often people can talk in public channels in EC, whether it should just be in /say, whether a second trading zone should be used to split it up etc.

Welcome to the thread on page 13, please try to read more than the title.
Actually I read the whole thing. And yeah I agree that would help. I am referring to people wanting bazaar mostly.

Item links is not classic and would actually help with the spam.

In good old days, guys would show you bags in a trade window and you would look through the items that way.

People would describe what kinda junk they have in general and list specially nice items..

People also used to list prices they wanted to sell stuff at not asshole overpriced prices.

EC spam is way fun and if its as busy as you say it is I might need to get back in on that action.

Bazaar is cool for the lazy or whatever but the living and bustling EC community (or gfay community on rallos zek) is a game in and of itself and it is something that should not be disposed of easily.

People who want to have a more passive approach to selling stuff can just do it in the forums here.

The biggest difference between here and live for me is that people don't seem to sell really good stuff nearly as much. On rallos zek I could buy dragon hero bracers and shield of rainbow hues all day long in velious era for the right price, which was totally reasonable. Here they are like guild owned relics or something. Very different.

Nobody wants to play the EC game here. They just want to sell their stuff overpriced.

I fully support a Bazaar merchant at least. Screw the EC sharks I don't want to wheel n deal with folks who just flip stuff.

Im sorry, classic or not but I despise having to "camp" ec the wayone would camp a spawnpoint for gear. I looked for a sword today in ec.. from about 10 AM to 5 pm--

and they're right about the ec spam, I have to direct it to a new window and minimize when Im not using it.

Just saying, new simulated patch day fix isnt classic.

That was a terribly boring cave. I didn't like the afk buyout-only vendors.

I could see access to the /bazaar window available in ec and major cities where current online players can list their goods for sale in a searchable database but still require meeting to make the transaction.
whats the point in all that? Seems like most people arent against this becauseit's not classic, but because its from the moonkitty expansion. Its like yous ay no because its not classic then offer up dozens of needlessly convoluted, wholly unclassic ideas...

It's almost like we have this useful tool for listing items for sale called a forum- but you simply want to port a more instantly updated version in game.

The forum has its pros and cons. I like the idea that I can look through items for prices, for talking to people outside of the game (while working etc).

However as someone who's on European time, trying to link up to trade with someone on PST is difficult. If I had a trader up however...
