Can't remember the last time I got invited to a group as a Druid... Then again it's been awhile since I put up LFG.

But so rarely does a group say "let's look for a Druid". Like they do for tanks, clerics, shamans and enchanters.

Druids are damn good healers in a group till 50. After that, well Oh Boy. You NEED a Enchanter to slow and cast Clarity on you. A lot depends who is in the group. If the puller is good and the tank is good well healers are not that stressed. Have a puller that is crap and even a Cleric is in trouble. [You must be logged in to view images. Any healer is better than no healer. If the group slows down even a Druid can heal a mid 50's group. You just can't go non stop or pull the Boss of the zone. But even a Shaman is not as good as a Cleric doing the top mob in a zone.
Complete Heal is just over the top in those situations.

If Druids didn't have the gap from 29-51 with just Greater Healing, it wouldn't be too bad. But the end of that gap hurts for healing as a Druid. 50~ mobs can outdo your heal in 2 hits or 1 cast/backstab. Which sucks.

Then at 60 all the high end camps in HS/Sebilis superior healing by itself can cut it, it is just tedious and a bit more dangerous. Once Velious gives Druids Nature's Touch it will help the issue a bit. But still won't ever come close to the efficiency of a torpor or CH.

Luclin largely fixed the imbalance of Druid vs Shaman healing with Tunare's Renewal. Shame we won't get that here.

Tl;dr as a main healer Druids are weak. But smart Druids can fill many other roles in a group at high levels.

Duos and trios involving charm animal are the tops.

Chardok is about the only 50+ location you can group with a charmed pet. And people don't group there much. Even if AoE groups were removed.

Permafrost bear pit and Kedge Keep also work but those locations there isn't really any reason to group. Soloing is far more efficient/less tedious (cause very few people have an interest to travel to Kedge or Permafrost at these levels)

High 40s in Sol B you can charm sonic bats
High 30s in LGuk you can charm bats (have to go out of your way to do this)
High 30s in OT you can charm most everything

Velious there will be more options 50+ for groups to have Druid charmers iirc.

Kael will have dogs to charm
Siren's Grotto will have all sorts of sea creatures to charm
Western Wastes will have Velious hounds and brontetherium to charm

Beyond charm, Druids make excellent pullers and Root CCers at high level. Our root is quite reliable and long lasting, and what puller can heal themself like a Druid can! DPS (sans charm) is pretty meh (with charm awesome). They can snare/root runners easily and evac if problems arise. Damage shield is 32 per hit, assuming 10-20 successful hits a mob that's a decent 320-640 damage added and DS should stick around for 5-6 mobs if chain pulling. Quite mana efficient. Add in ES Vambraces every mob for free 300ish damage if mobs are lasting for a full minute. If only single mobs in camp and you're in an outdoor zone like Karnor's you can use Lumi staff as a ghetto JBB.

At 44, stock up on bat wings and fish scales and head to LOIO. The middle of the lake with the blood gills. They're lvl 38-42 or something (like 1 lvl higher min/max then spectres) with only about 1300 hp (400 less than a spectre). Each of the towers in the middle of the water has 2-4 goblins hanging around it, makes for an easy pull then run out of the water to land and do your quad. They'll carry you to 52-53 if you want them to.
