Vox(regular blue server) was launched in spring 2012 and still going strong - although recent idiotic changes might change that (as it might for all the remaining servers).
That's even more hilarious... why nuke Trakanon (a blue server) in its infancy and then "try again" a few years later.

Too much stupid with whoever is managing EQ1 these days.

To be fair then Vox was launched along with EQ going F2P and suggested to new players to be the server to start on. Which is probably why at least half the - rather healthy - population on Vox are true EQ noobs.

Sadly all these new players are playing under the heavy weight of the massive easifications supplied by Defiant drops, marketplace purchaseables, mercenaries, hold-your-hand-questing etc. etc. - thus mostly entirely unable to play their class(es) at all well, let alone know anything about the zones and Lore of EQ in general.

Same here. I literally would create new characters just to do the newbie armor quests when I wanted a break from my main. Along the way I asked a high level for help... one thing led to another, we became good friends and she was my EQ Sugar Momma. I leveled up with her and her boyfriends' help and started raiding PoP... great times were had!

Never again. Never forget. Never forgive.
Potus is right. Don't believe the hype. P99 last best hope for classicishness EQ. Stick with it.
