Another "new" player chasing the dragon...
... Kerafyrm, as the case may be.
I started playing EQ with my family at the tender age of 6, and some of my most memorable childhood moments happened in Norrath. No game since EQ has evoked such wonder and awe at the unknown for me. From what I've read, many of you have also found that to be the case, so it can't all be my childhood bias. We'll see if the game holds up to my memory. In any case, I'm happy for the opportunity to relive this treasured piece of childhood.

The game is better than you remember because now you can actually understand an appreciate it's quality and depth.
I found this project for the same reason, childhood nostalgia. But you have no idea how this game is just flat out superior to any MMO on the market. Since discovering P99 in 2010 I spend about 90% of my time gaming playing just EverQuest.

Thanks for the response! The hope of higher understanding and appreciation was actually what tempted me into coming back. I always felt like I had missed out by playing without my full faculties.
I imagine the smaller community helps bring that mysterious frontier feel back to life, although I'm pleasantly surprised by how active this forum is. I hope not to get -too- invested; I enjoy having a girlfriend and passing grades. The game didn't come to be called Evercrack for no reason. :P
