Close but not quite.

Try growing up in a poverty stricken single parent household with a drug addict and somehow managing to escape 20 years of such a life while remaining clean. I've seen more friends' and family members' lives ruined by substance abuse than most people have acquaintances. I've since risen from those ashes and provide more for myself in a month than the deadbeat who spent 90% of their income on drugs made in a year.

You can call it selfish all you want, I call it being realistic. If you can't handle a bit of criticism for your lifestyle choices, tumblr is that way.

There is a difference between using and abusing. Im sorry for your bad experience, but drugs are not bad (some), people are....
