Bundy isn't being free. He's trying to steal from the people. Roast his ass!

It's not his land. Never was. He's been told for years to get off of it.

What is he stealing from "the people"? A bunch of grass that nobody else is using? Are you really hurt by his turf thievery? Are "the people" hurt by it?

Its public land. Just because the government didn't have a purpose for this land in the past and didn't care what he did with it doesn't mean he was legally using it. Now there is a purpose for the land that the government owns. I fail to see why people are not seeing this. This has nothing to do with freedom.

If I owned property and I didn't do anything with it, does that mean its okay for someone to let their cattle graze on it? Then, if I suddenly want to develop on that land, I can't because they are already grazing on it?

Over the weekend, Bundy spoke to supporters about general issues involved in the standoff. Suddenly, he took a turn and began discoursing on African Americans and public welfare.
“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” he said in comments quoted by the New York Times. He recalled driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas, “and in front of that government house the door was usually open and the older people and the kids — and there is always at least a half a dozen people sitting on the porch — they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.”
He added: “And because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?” he asked. “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.”

I guess he doesn't realize the fact that his wealth was handed down to him from multiple generations. Wealth equates to freedom. If he actually created his wealth, I would have an inkling of respect for him. Actually, scratch that, I can't stand fuckers like this.

@bardalicious; his point seemed to revolve around the fact that meat has clear benefits otherwise the vegans would be on the same level. Are they? No. You can try to twist words however you want but it doesn't change the facts.
I didn't have to twist words, so I'm not sure what you're on about. You seem to be arguing the exact same thing, which is what my question pointed out in the first place.

Other than pure aesthetics, what purpose does bodybuilding serve in modern society? Could you enlighten me a little bit? Note that I'm not stating that physical fitness and staying in shape is a bad thing, but your argument for meat vs. plant is backed by a laughable practice.

So you know it's a logical fallacy to discredit his earlier stance based on his new statements on a completely different subject, right?

I'm going to go so far as to say that everyone is a product of their environment. Bundy is obviously an ignorant redneck based on his statement about African Americans and slavery.

This doesn't, however, make his stand or knowledge on cattle grazing rights any more or less than what it is.

It's called expropriation, and is a right of every civilized government so one wingnut digging his heels in doesn't impede the ability of government to proceed with projects. Happens all the time in cities where old buildings are expropriated and demolished to make way for revitalized development.

The Constitution grants the rights of ranchers to make money by grazing cattle on land owned by the government? Wow.

Regards,
Mg

EDITA: Whoops LOL, right, he doesn't even own the land, so it's not even expropriation... sell him the land then expropriate
