Honestly, a pet class who breaks mez is about the equivalent of a Bard who one-twists. It just shows that you aren't paying attention to what's going on or that you have shit knowledge of how to play your class. The sad thing is it's somewhat more likely to find pet classes like this because they solo more often, so they have less experience grouping and end up killing people because of it.
I tried telling someone this the other day, and of course he vehemently denied that there was a way to get his pet off of an attacker that I planned on mezzing. Correcting him was considered "rude" for some reason. I guess most players think that because they played classic eq that they're automatically pro and that no one has the license to give them advice on anything.
