Some old people went to Washington DC, waved some flags with crosses on them, literally no one heard about it, and nothing happened. That's a successful revolution?

That's why I'm glad I live in America. Separation of church and state, honey. I'm not Christian and haven't been inside a church in years but I don't recall anyone ever calling for "sinners" to be stoned or a mob of Christian folks actually doing that. You don't get away with that shit here.

By the way, I don't recall hearing of any Christians in other countries running wild and murdering people according to biblical laws. If you know of any, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Speaking of updating Christianity, I think the Gnostics are very intereting and have the right idea. They don't believe in taking the bible literally. They don't believe you need all the bullshit human interference like the clergy coming between you and god. They are more open and consider themselves seekers more than believers. And they don't disregard the gospels that were cut out of the bible because it didnt mesh with the church's agenda.

I'm a big fan of the Gnostics, though I myself don't consider myself gnostic. I like to take what I can from Christianity and examine it carefully along with my other spiritual knowledge. People make themselves out to be idiots all the time, those people are simply morons and Christians should do what they can to reign in on them because they are not helping their cause.

As far as not hearing about citizens of other faiths not being threatened, you must be blind because I read about it every day. There are places in the US where you do not want to be anything other than a Christian. Do you think its right to have a pagan author in florida shot at for simply being a witch?

Perhaps the worlds largest Christan faith is a good example to how Christians are supposed to treat others eh? You do realize that from the Vaticans own numbers, they claim that over 100,000 children and adults have been sexually abused by priests in the US ALONE. That's nearly 3% of the entire population.

Separation of church and state that was greater many years ago and less today? In the US, its just more common to completely ruin someone's life instead of kill them. Its much easier to do. Religion brings out the best and the worst in everyone. It makes the extremes more visible and acceptable.

Logic can be applied to faith. Faith can be evaluated by logic. Faith and logic work better in this capacity.
