If you can afford it, look for a good holistic dietitian too. Probably not covered with military insurance but yeah.

And what do you mean phytoestrogen helped a bit? It helped with what? Not trying to be mean but that sounds ridiculous.

I thought so too, but my headaches went away and I had more energy and was less nauseous.

phytoestrogen is just the holistic buzzword for things like Siberian ginseng. (BTW not the same as most varieties of ginseng).

IDK.... it's purely speculative.

Aside from the obvious feminizing and peace of mind I want from estrogen HRT. Might help the way some of the supplements did. Again IDK. I'm going in open minded. But I'm sick of masculinizing and I have 20 years before hormones are really dangerous/bad option. I'm also afraid I'll get very masculine as I age [You must be logged in to view images. It already makes me very suicidal just thinking about it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytoestrogens

oh and the study that says 'males' aren't affected by plant ... phytoestrogens (simply chemicals that act like estriadol) ... well they don't take into account people who - might not be - 100% male as far as physiology. There may be a percentage of the population who are more susceptable to something like plant based estriadol than most regardless of outward gender characteristics.

Homeopathic remedies aren't something we preach on in Western Medicine.

Imagine if you will, someone who had genetic characteristics predisposed to make their bodies, accept estrogen and reject testosterone. IMO, and based on personal (and probably again more or less speculative) experience, because I am not a scientist or doctor, just a lay person who had a few labs done when they were suffering from these issues and lost in the world...

but it's not unheard of either in the trans community to find people very susceptible/compatible with estrogen, and others who's bodies reject it vehemently.

Everyone is different and HRT is one of those YMMV things.

As long as you're consulting a doctor before blowing a wad of cash at InHousePharmacy.biz , do whatever helps make the transition work better.

I find this highly insulting to people. Unless you were asshole deep on article 15s, or have 4 kids you have to pay support to you are telling half a story for sympathy.

We can have two different stories here. One you lived on base, no rent, power, trash, water bills. I took an average of the 4 years you were in between E1-E4. At that rate your pay would have been $ 22,500 in normal pay and an additional 2,900 in substance allowance for a total $25,400 a year with no expenses at all.

Or you lived off base and made 12,360 a year in BAH, 2800 in food, and 22,500 in normal pay. Combined for 37,660.

I won't even ask if you were deployed the four years you were in, because then your pay would go up even more. The way you talk, sounds like you sat at a desk on a post in the middle of Washington the entire time.

25,400 a year at least for just showing up everyday and no expenses outside of buying a over priced car is pretty pimp change. Hell you would get all the taxes back. Unless you had a balling 20-30k sign up bonus you don't mention.

I fucking hate military people who cry about poverty because they mismanage money, or just want free handouts. I bet you go to every store asking for a vet discount.

Other than that, try a red wig.

Harsh criticism and your numbers are more accurate, but srsly, I did a thankless job for thankless people, for way less then what most privilaged middle classed kids got out of their 2 your IT courses.

Was E4, and no housing allowance, and none of that extra 2900, I ate at the cafeteria every damn day.

Also, that was from 2002-2006, I started out at 13,000 or so in basic or 16,000 if you count whatever bullshit they didn't take from you to pay for your first set of BDU's and sneakers.
