I just found it funny cause i was in this same kind of position once except i did let go of the battery and it went straight to the bottom of the river. Luckily it was only about 12 feet down so i swam down after removing the clothes that woulda have been denched if i held onto it and tied a rope to it and then pulled it back up to the dock. I totally get why the guy held on its just natural instinct.

Actaully, that is bill dance, and he was always pulling funny stuff like that off in his shows. Texas hat is the dead giveaway.
