I've sunk maybe 2k into mine and it has played every game I've tried on it, so, I'm not sure what you're getting at. If I sat on a lawn chair inside my laundry room to play 15 year old everquest like you, I suppose it might be my most prized possession too.

I have several sets of various collectable things that are worth well more than my $2,700 rig but those are collections, the individual pieces are only a few hundred each at most. Considering I don't need movers to move my car and I don't art, yes my rig is easily my most expensive possession.
