Your spells file is outdated

I have downloaded the Step 4 - Game Files but when I unzip into my titanium directory it doesn't seem to help. I have tried several methods:

1) Downloading the entire zip file into the EQ folder.
2) Opening the zip folder and manually putting the files in their respective folders within the directory. AND removing/replacing any duplicate files they are replacing.
3) Only doing the first 2 methods with the spelleffects folder.

I can only get to the caracter creation screen with a placeholder human named "please visit project1999.org" ERRORCODE SP-1

Any help would be appreciated, I am not very computer savvy.

If you have downloaded P99Files32.zip and extracted the files to your EQ folder, then it should be fine. If you know you've done this, then don't doubt yourself.

But you will still occasionally get that error. If the server cannot contact your computer (or vice versa) at that precise moment (between server select and character select), for whatever reason, it registers that you don't have the correct files.

If you're on an iffy wireless connection, definitely try it with an ethernet cable plugged in.
