I know right. Can't even tell what your exact skill is at. Just awful and excellent.

God classic was so legit. Also note Heat Resist = Fire Resist

Why all the mad, bros?

I wish they could put in the old-school night vision and the ancient stare at the book UI ...

I remember continually using this UI untill I overherd people discussing the newer UI. For a while there was a command in game to switch back and forth between the classic UI and the velious UI.

Yeah, everyone agrees it should be changed back. Idk how, but this had to have benefited TMO in some fashion, as that's the only reason the gms do anything here.

The classic argument is, while noble, is flawed. There is precedent for things being changed in terms of balance. See http://wiki.project1999.com/Ivandyr%27s_Hoop intentionally not classic, and im cool with that.Things being changed in for playability or yadda yadda.

I was hoping they would nerf soulfire. As in some other thread we know there is now potentially a lot more soul fires than existed in classic. Thats what I dont understand about trying to adhere to a timeline specifically the timeline and UI...

But in the end its their call, no logic needed, still beats progression servers hands down!
I think nerfing soulfires is something that should be looked into. Makes a lot of sense to stick with the real life timeline for nerfs of items. It was nerfed after 2 years should probably be nerfed after 2 years here too.

Same for CoS and other OP items imo.

While this change is not that big, it makes it more classic, as does the removal of non-pally soulfires and the tons of CoS and other items that far outnumber the number that dropped on live.

Classic feel > exact classic mechanics.

Someone will probably say some of the times that dropped in live when expansions came out would then not drop (like unnerfed CoS) but then many of the servers that were put up were put up after the nerfs so they never had unnerfed items anyway making that classic.

The real question is when are item links going to be removed from P99? How will those who keep arguing "it's classic" defend that? Nilbog needs to go ahead and get rid of in-game item links. Who cares what people think. He just took that mentality by removing the con color on target box (this was really convenient and now its gone).

I say get rid of in-game item links. We need to take it back to 1999 for real and manually type our item stats out.

Also ban people from making apps like REAL TIME AUCTION TRACKER, that's not classic. Pretty sure nobody had any such scripts back in 1999/2000 era.

Who's with me on this? lol

I can't recall: in classic Kunark era EQ, did mobs shout FTE announcements?
