deru pretty much nailed it, the irony is that from the forums jibekn seems like a rabid nihilum hating tard but in game he's super mellow never rants and only helps new people enjoy everquest and is very patient about it

nihilum is pretty much never talked about in guild or on TS unless they are like in zone or something

Hes doing a really great job as a guild leader, the potential is very high for Hokuten

I agree with this, and don't want to leave this thread giving the impression he's doing a poor job or that Hokuten is a bad guild. I do question the recruitment message not only for the attention that brings from Nihilum, but from the impression it leaves on new players, though it seems he's still been able to gather together a decent number of people. I think there's a big desire for a solid leveling guild (or two...?) on Red 99, one that can not only pick up the low and mid level stragglers, but also hit some light raid targets like draco and progress from there.

Hopefully Hokuten can be that guild. Though I'm not a huge fan of the name. (sorry!)

Derubael they will get attacked by Nihi anyway. Even if it was a different guildleader with a different guild statement. There is no neutrality on this server.

cannot simply bring blue people over without knowing the history of nihilum. It is very common knowledge that Nizzar lies to all of his guild members on a daily basis we have seen proof of this already. I'd hate to see any of these blue recruits join nihilum and get lied to and manipulated like SO many have.

I simply stated who nihilum was and what they stood for. Before I knew it im in charge of this army. last night we fielded 40 players on our raid mostly 51-55.

I get a lot of flak for declaring war on nihilum and explaining all the rules they have broken etc, but these troops ive assembled are so motivated to play and they are taking the grief so well it brings a tear to my eye. when the general was stolen from them in rags it just made them stronger. they wanted to try harder and level faster and bring more friends in.

these young warriors are gods soldiers building up to destroy an evil corrupt empire to bring peace and order to the land of norrath... who wouldnt want to be apart of something like that it actually gives purpose to the game

Jib speaks the truth. That general grief made me laugh at how sad and scared these boys are at any minor threat to their pixels. We just packed up and ended up getting some shaman/cleric epics instead, so no loss anyways.

Also not a fan of the name, but this is one of the better and more fun guilds I've ever been in any MMO. Look forward to the 40v60's when we're all 60!
