Thank you to all of you who have helped me out getting the game up and running!!
Yay time to start the lvl 1 NEWB Journey, but first to reserve my names and toons :-)!!!

and the Black screen had something to do with the client not liking my LG big screen (I use as my comp monitor). So after unplugging it, and getting into the game, messing with the video settings, and loading the velious skins, and then plugging my big screen back in.. it went black, but then a minimize, and it got fixed upon enlarging the window again

forgot how hard it was starting out in classic EQ. lol.
I just made 5 characters so I got their class race name combos :-)

think I might start out with the Shadow knight first. probably the most soloable class, then maybe the ranger, hmmm who knows. mostly mele, or hybrids though. lol

hah feel fortunate, I had the dreaded character select bug for the longest time shortly after p99 launched, no fix for it (years). Could only play on other servers here as I had already been doing. Wasn't until I got a new computer that the problem was resolved.

There are lots of groups here to start, places like CB, Unrest, MM are usually PACKED during peak. So don't feel you need to roll something solo friendly unless you just want to solo.
