It also doesn't make sense when people claim RMT is the future of business. To me, it actually seems like free download + monthly subscription is the future. Look at the huge amount of software now, such as Microsoft Office, and most cloud-based programs, that have become free to acquire but now require the user to pay monthly. This will be much more controversial with single-player games where people expect to own their game..just by looking at the botched launches of diablo 3 and the new simcity.
