Cool Serious Returning Player

Hey guys, I have finally gotten the opporunity to come back to the best game ever. As I am sure you all see a dozen of these threads a day I do not expect any special treatment.

I am currently waiting on an IP Exemption for my sister as we are moving over from World of Warcraft and it has always been in my heart to come back to EQ and this time I will not be alone.

Basically, I am trying to plan things out over the next few months to start out with the basics and ending with the actual class we want to play as our mains twinked with some decent gear at some point.

My thoughts were for me to play an Enchanter since I believe to make it bareable to play any caster class, you pretty much have to have Clarity. I think by leveling an Enchanter first it will make all subsequent casters alot easier to level on each other's accounts.

I was thinking to start, I would go Enchanter and my sister would go Cleric maybe? Then on the second set of characters, I could go Druid and she could go Enchanter. I was hoping by then we would have made enough plat and possibly found a decent guild so that coming up with the funds to come up with a twink set for my pet Warrior tank, and for the class of her choice. Basically, we want to put the work in first, have fun later.

If anyone has any tips on what classes you think we should play together or hunting spots or decent ways to make platinum as a duo it would be greatly appreciated. You don't have to tell me about bone chips and HQ pelts, I am well aware of those, but if there are any low level camps or methods to make platinum it would really mean alot since we are starting brand new with no gear or platinum to our name. Also know we are not afraid to work hard for our platinum. Once we get a few thousand plat, my sister is an Auction House freak on World of Warcraft, so she will have no problem being our East Commonlands merchant. In fact I think flipping items will be her favorite part of the game.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read my thread, it sure means a lot. I would love to meet some of you in game soon, but unfortunately we will not be starting until our IP Exemption goes through. Until then, we will be checking back here to see if anyone has any tips for us on getting going on this super sweet game. Thanks everyome, have a great day.

Just make one of your starting classes a druid. Porting people around is a great way to make platinum to start a twink set. And you only need to level the Druid into the 30's. Honestly though play whatever you want and don't worry about plat or having a clarity. There are plenty of Enchanters. My first Character was a Ranger and I haven't had any issues gathering a set of gear or leveling.

Enchanter/Cleric is a solid duo. Go for it.

Enchanter / any non melee will be a solid partnership. Don't underestimate enchanter / enchanter. Feel free to shoot me a tell when you guys get settled for buffs / to address any questions you may have in real time. Character name is same as my forum name.

Welcome! Druid is a great starting character. SoW, teleport, tracking, animal charm, heals, and none of it gear dependent. I switched from paladin to druid because I wanted to gear my paladin better, so I'm kind of in the same boat. Now I want to make a new Erudite paladin because I always loved the robes/hoods. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] And you know what? It's all a good time, even playing the druid, which started just as a stepping stone. I wish I could get my brother to play with me, I'd try to go double Iksar since I've never played one. So much to do!

Err sorry, I'm rambling today. Greater Lightstones are a good way to get nearly 10pp per (in NK), and drop off level 9-11 willowisps. That's some of the best early money since it's from an NPC, no worries of selling it.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and tips! We greatly appreciate it.

I definitely have a druid slated for my second character, but first I have definitely decided to do the Enchanter. I just think camping an Enchanter to give the group clarity on demand is going to help more than you know. Betsy played a Cleric on live so she wants to remake her main on here. She is wrestling with herself on whether to be a Cleric of Karana or a Cleric of Erollisi Marr. She keeps asking "Do I want to heal with the power of the rain, or do I want to heal with the power of love?" Lol, I love that she gets into it so much with me.

Our next set of characters, I am going to be a Druid and she wants to play a Wizard. The idea behind this is so that we can make a good bit of money porting people around on our down time when we are not LFG. I also have plans to launch a Power Leveling Service to help fund my eventual main's gear set. Between ports and power leveling, I hope that things will work out for us.

@lecompte and @kruptcy I really appreciate the offer for help, I didn't want to be a begger but getting through those first 10 levels or so of spell and gear is always the hardest for us. I have a Magic The Gathering Tournament tomorrow to attend, but afterward we will be playing full force!

Attention to all you raiding guilds out there, this is your future Main Tank speaking. It will take me a couple months to level my Enchanter and Druid along with my sister's Cleric and Wizard, but we are coming for sure! We are not fly by nighters, we are hard core players. So if anyone wants to discuss future recruitment and wants to pre-emptively draft us when we have our mains set down the road, just shoot us a message here on the forums or in game.

Keep in mind we come as a pair. We will most likely be raiding as a Warrior and Cleric, but will definitely have our Enchanter, Druid and Wizard coming with us for support. I look forward to meeting you all in game guys.

Keep the tips coming, in the mean time, we absolutely love coming here and reading all your comments! ((;

Consider enchanter/shaman! Or druid necro but I think enchanter shaman is better

If your going to MT for a raiding guild, you should just level a warrior. The time to level 3 sets of characters would not offset the advantage you will get from twinking said second/third character. Just duo Cleric/Warrior, have the classes you want?
