umm, as a Paladin I've had to run and take the boats, it sucks yes. In real life I use to commute to work 45 to 90 mins per day each way, that sucked too. It's not anyones problem, it the way things are. You dont like it. If I dont like someone in EQ I wont group with them, i've gone as far as being in one of those great groups where mobs die quickly, experience and loot is rolling in, someone had to leave. The group invited someone I didnt like, I said I'm leaving and stated why and left. It's no one's fault, it's just the way things are. I have also refused to sell an item to someone I didnt like even though they were offering more than I was asking....I dont care, if I dont like someone that's it, i dont like them.

Anywho. As a level 5 Druid, I ran from Rivervale to Qeynos (through Kithicor and Highhold). I don't see what the big deal is.

You do it until level 19, the rest of us working class do it forever. refuse to learn your teleportation spells and you can be considered one of us.
