Sounds like you were making efreeti harder than it needs to be. Hasted/torched imp will win a straight up manfight vs efreeti as long as you use stuns to try and interrupt efreeti's casts. Most of the stuns will get resisted, but even one or two interrupts buys you plenty of time to burn through his fairly low hp.

yea the first time i tried stunning and every single one was resisted. if pet had started at 100% instead of 80% i still would have won.
