Default Open Discussion on Manually Changing Gamma

Anyone have any suggestions on changing gamma? So far all I have come up with is using winEQ and adjusting the gamma there.

> Options
>Preferences
> Everquest
> Lock Gamma

This offers a slight adjustment, but honestly this change depends entirely on your graphics card.

So far DE illusion mask and tranix crown do not adjust light settings in game.

Nice, f.lux seems to make it much better. Good deal.

They're still discussing it and regardless that change goes in when Rogean says it does/has time so it could be months.

Im using an very simple fix for this. Works perfectly. Infact first time I adjusted it I had to come back down the way as EQ was even to bright!

- Right click desktop and go down to 'Nvidia Control Panel'

- Adjust brightness up under 'desktop colour settings'

- Then turn 'gamma lock' setting ON in WinEQ.

Works a treat.

Must be noted that if you play with it you can attain reasonable levels in both EQ and Desktop brightness..

I just redownloaded/reinstalled the current patch. It seems they took it out, but you have to redownload and install it.
This fixed it for me with out WinEQ/flux or messing with video card settings.

I'm not sure. Haynar said he was taking it out in some threads but they didn't update the main page.
Tried playing right after patch and it was broken, super dark with ultravision and light sources not working.
Tried playing just now and it was still broken, redownloaded v35 patch and after repatching it is back to normal, gamma slider working bright as hell.
