I also checked the "Bypass Triangle Route" on my Wi-Fi router, it seems it helps a bit with zoning. I sometimes have to deactivate the firewall while the connections are initiated.

It looks like my router is the problem, as it does not permit connections between my computer and login/zone server(s). But I'm still wondering why it prevents connections when entering some given zones (Neriak Commons, Freeport) but let me enter East Commonlands and Nek Forest with its blessing.

Maybe I should grab some more +CHA items and try to charm it...

Also I disabled the NTP functionality on the WiFI router and the connections problems to the login server went away.

Looks like the problem is connection lost while zoning.

I bypassed my router (direct connection to modem) and have had absolutely 0 hangs all night. Now, who can figure out what exactly is being blocked?

Good call with turning texture caching off. Ive been getting issues zoning ONLY into EC. Originally was a auction problem but now I just freeze while zoning into EC. I tested this theory and sure enough loaded right up no problem. Thanks dooder

I also only crash when im zoning into EC...I will have to reboot and try over and over again until I can get in. Sometimes it takes 4-5 tries to just get onto my toon again.

Hello.

Same happens to me in Neriak Foreign Quarter. I can zone between Commonlands and Nektulos Forest without any problems, but then when I come back home to Neriak, the following happens:
- I enter the Neriak Tunnel from Nek Forest, speak a bit with the guards, ask if everything is fine with family and children and so on, joking about the dwarves and other crawling creatures
- I say goodbye to the guards. I go to the zone line, message says something like "Entering zone". Things freeze for a few seconds.
- Loading screen (with ugly werewolf) comes, saying "loading zone files, have you hugged an Iksar today". Progress bar goes to 100%, then nothing happens. Frozen.
- I then kill eqgame.exe, restart the game. Everything seems to go well (login server, character choice) till I have to zone in Neriak, where my character is.
- I have to wait 30 mins (sometimes more) before I can enter the game again.
I play EQ with the Titanium client, using a 1280x1024 window on a 1680x1050 screen. I don't understand how it can be a problem with graphics, since other zones are fine and that in the end I can zone in Neriak. Also I don't understand how it can be a problem with the zone server since other ppl can enter it without any problems.

I hope someone will find a solution or a workaround. Playing with resolution and/or fullscreen hasn't helped. Maybe I'll try a different UI, as suggested.

Anyway I just want o say I'm very happy with the game, thank you for the good job.

See ya.

Epicentre
This is what happens to me, but only in freeport, which also happens to be my hometown and where i'm bound at. This only happens after I die. I will get attacked by something and die and the loading screen comes up and once it finished loading it just stays there or maybe goes black, then i end the program and try to load it back up but it still wont let me in. If i camped or exited somehow in any other zone except freeport then i can get back in fine, but when i die and go to freeport i have an issue. It gets really frustrating because i am a Qizard and, being squishy, I die alot. Help pleeease.

Default Same Issue

I am having the same problem of freezing up while zoning into EC. It only happens while zoning into EC and nowhere else. I thought it might be an issue of high population in EC but it happens even during low population times.
