Global OOC is a wonderful thing.

It provides a forum for people to advertise wares across the whole server, this being especially important since players are unable to gather peacefully in a central zone.

Global chat also facilitates group formation on a server with a lower population. This plays a huge part in a young adventurer's life who may not have an established network of friends.

Another bonus is OOC provides the whole server with the names of belligerents; those people who need to gloat and shout about their various homicides. The yelling is so frequent you can keep a mental list of who to watch your step around.

I could go on. The only negatives to OOC are the ones you develop from personal insecurities.

Also, it's hilarious enough to make me laugh out loud sometimes.

Protip: Put OOC in it's own windows for Pete's sake.
