Unhappy Help! Melee skills improperly showing as capped.

On my 29 Monk (Larry), my 1H Blunt and Hand to Hand skills are both showing their value in red and capped at 150 even though I've gotten several skill-up messages indicating they're progressing normally (i.e. to 170 or so). What *should* my cap be at this point, and which number is correct? If the 170 number is supposed to be correct, is my damage being calculated using that value, or using the "capped" 150 value?

Thanks!
Larry

I noticed this last night and seem to remember it's a limitation of the Titanium client - what values do you get when at a trainer?

The red 'cap' of 150 is the real value and is correct.

When I leveled up (to 30), the red cap increased to 155. So the blue messages coming through the chat window must be incorrect.

I guess that because our eq client is not a classic one, it lets us skill up past classic cap per level, but the server keeps us at classic cap ... more or less [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Since our skills (on client side) are higher than what they should, they are displayed in red and capped according to the server.
Kinda like if you deleveled your character.

Everything regarding a particular skill will be based on your server-capped skill value (the one displayed in red in your skill window), but if you go to your trainer you will see you client-capped skill level (maybe because no server check on trainer window).
