Tiers for needed classes are as follows:

God Tier = Cleric/Warrior

Good Stuff Tier = Rogue

Good Stuff When 60 Tier = Wizard

Too Many but Still Good as Shit Tier = Enchanter/Monk/Shaman

Do Not Play Tier = Shadow Knight/Paladin

Dog Shit Bottom of the Barrel Tier = Druid/Mage

I think I got em all.
Bards wru? In with the rogues I'd say.

Rangers wru? Debatable!

Necros? In the right hands a very capable class with tons of utility. But everyone who hates necros never played one to a decent level, and therefore "omg they suck"

Thinking that bards are only good for raiding at level 60 invalidates anything you could ever have to say about the value of anything in EQ.

Outside of PL'n give me examples of situations where a group would want a bard?

Bards are great for raids, but in a group all they bring is a large xp penalty and lackluster buffs/CC.

Hmm. Looks like I need to dump my necromancer and start playing my wizard instead.

lol, you've never grouped with a really good bard in a dungeon? I loathe the sad little zone disrupting circle-jerkers who get bored and quit the toon at 50, but it is so nice being with a skilled bard in a dungeon.

I love bards. I've just never been skilled enough to play one.
