My one piece of advice for grouping.

You have a limited healing throughput over a long period of time due to how much mana you regain meditating. There is no way YOU can increase this. However there are other classes that can such as Bard and Enchanter.

That said, it doesn't matter if you sit at 20% mana or 80% mana - you will have the same mana regen per tick. As long as you are not sitting at 100% mana you are not 'wasting' mana. However if you are at 20% and your group gets a bad pull then people will likely start dying. You have much better chances if you're at 80%. Obviously this is not always practical, but try and get in the habit of not healing someone in a non-emergency situation if you are below X% mana. I personally use 60-70% mana.

I see a lot of new casters fall prey to this, especially wizards/mages. Having all the casters above 50-60% mana on a bad pull can mean the difference between a wipe or not.
