VPN - can't load game

I'm unable to log into the game with my VPN enabled. After selecting the server and clicking on "play everquest", it just hangs there for a couple minutes, then boots me back to the login screen.

It's not configured to block any ports on my side, unless you're saying the service I use automatically blocks some ports? Is that something VPN services often do?

Yeah i ment on their end. Yes it is something that they do often. The VPN i use to use i had to set port 5998 i think it was to open through the settings if i wanted to actually connect to p99 or i would get a blank server screen or get booted after selecting server.
