I am partial to Dwarf because I too made this choice.

Gnome: Short = good for pvp and can see through walls. Bertox deity provides a click Disease Cloud which can make your group immune to charm unless cured. Can wear Robe of Azure Sky. Arguably the best for pure pvp considerations.

Dwarf: Short but not as short for pvp. Best starting stats for cleric. Dwarven cultural armor gives +wis/+sta/+mr/+fr in every slot. Another good pvp choice for stacking MR.

Halfling: Sneak/Hide and exp bonus. Getting groups and serverwide exp bonus make leveling easy so the latter should not be a consideration.

Dark Elf: Hide is not going to be consistent. It is only a marginal ability. You're also going to have strength problems carrying plate early on. Can wear Robe of Azure Sky

High Elf: Good wisdom but like DE will have strength problems. Can wear Robe of Azure Sky.

Human: Balanced stats. No advantages. Can wear Robe of Azure Sky.

Erudite: Bad stats. No advantages. Can wear Robe of Azure Sky.
Erudite: No advantages? How about ridiculous looking plate gear?

Hide is worthless, you want more base wis so you can stack better gear in other slots. While wis gear is ez to get, it's harder to find good wis gear with any other good stats.

Yes, but clerics can already cast fear, fear isn't usable pvp, and swapping the neck out for much better ones just to cast the spell takes about as much time as swapping spell slots.

Dwarf? No robe, no way. For PvP server these are must haves. Gnome pro for being small and harder to target in bigger PvP fights. Humans pro for being a little tankier and str.

Can't lose rolling cleric unless you are doing it for killshots.

It's a manly class.

Nah this guys an idiot, the truth is you can hide during pvp and it'll drop target off them and most often you can avoid death, saves you trouble

70% of characters have see invis, worn see invis, bracer of hidden < 50

99% have it at 50+

hide very rarely useful, that's why DE/HFL were good race choices in classic era (less see invis gear)
