and that's coming from the Archmage, I mean mala is nice, but no skin and no escapes makes them more of a rape target than a RL girl in Holo TS.

Enchanter and Cleric are both solid choices for PvE and PvP. You should be able to pick what play style you want to go with from there.

Enchanter probably the least gear dependent class in the game too imo.
