Starting fresh - my experience so far

So I decided to start on my Dwarf Paladin to truly relive my classic experience. I had a 50 Dwarf Paladin back when Kunark just came out so hey, let's just relive it again. It's been an eye opener to just how easy we have it with MMORPG's today. Maybe it's the nostalgia, but EQ is just so good. Never in new MMORPG's do you get excited over something as trivial as a Scarab Helm. That's the cool thing about EQ, gear actually makes you feel like you accomplished something.

With that said, the generosity I've received already in this game and from the community has been awesome. I received some small bronze pieces from a friendly wood elf (I think named Centy? ty!), an awesome Dwarf who gave me some CB belts and an axe (Apathe), and another monk who killed some legionnaires til they ran and let me finish em off for quick exp (Afhgeinz? something like that).

Anyway, I had asked a few high level paladins for some tips so I appreciate the help too. Sadain, I believe, recommended me getting a Baton of Faith, so I'm trying to save my coins to do that.
